A/B Testing

Test different destinations to find what converts best

Run split-traffic tests across URLs, landing pages, and campaigns. Acturity uses z-test, Bayesian, and sequential analysis to determine winners with statistical confidence. Set custom traffic weights, define exclusion groups, and auto-route traffic to the winner once a test is completed.

How it works

1

Set up variants

Create an A/B test with two or more destinations. Set custom traffic weights and choose your test type: URL redirect, landing page, or campaign comparison.

2

Run the test

Traffic is split according to your weights. Acturity tracks clicks and conversions, running z-test, Bayesian, and sequential analysis in parallel.

3

Declare a winner

When statistical significance is reached, stop the test. The winning variant receives all subsequent traffic automatically. Optionally promote the winner to a permanent short link.

Key Capabilities

A closer look at what a/b testing can do for your team

Split Traffic Testing

Test URL redirects, landing page variations, or entire campaigns. Set custom traffic weights for each variant and adjust mid-test if needed.

  • URL redirect, landing page, and campaign test types
  • Custom weight distribution across variants
  • Adjust weights during a running test

Statistical Analysis

Three analysis methods run simultaneously: frequentist z-test for confidence intervals, Bayesian analysis for probability estimates, and sequential testing with O'Brien-Fleming boundaries.

  • Z-test (frequentist) with confidence intervals
  • Bayesian analysis with probability estimates
  • Sequential testing (O'Brien-Fleming boundaries)

Conversion Tracking & Exclusion

Track actual conversions, not just clicks. Define exclusion groups to prevent users from being in multiple tests simultaneously for clean results.

  • Conversion tracking beyond clicks
  • Exclusion groups for test isolation
  • Per-variant conversion rates

Winner Routing

Once a test is completed with a declared winner, all traffic automatically routes to the winning variant. You can also manually promote a winner to a permanent short link or page.

  • Auto-route traffic to winner after test completion
  • Manual winner promotion to permanent link
  • Full test history for past results

Popular Use Cases
